Bamboo Cable Needle by Coco Knits

$ 14.00

I like to use bamboo double-pointed needles for two things, when working cables and when picking up stitches to create the shoulders of a Cocoknits Method sweater. I like that bamboo is “stickier” than metal so the needle doesn’t slip out of my stitches as easily. But, I was constantly storing the needle tucked into my hair or behind my ear, even between my teeth – and I would invariably lose it. This was especially problematic when traveling and knitting! I wanted a bamboo needle that would stick to my Maker’s Keep while not in use and not wind up down the sofa or lost on the floor of an airplane. It took years to get it just right – the metal band around the center of the Cocoknits bamboo cable needles is slightly raised to help keep the needle from slipping out of your stitches while cabling or picking up stitches. The points are purposely blunt so that you can use a fingernail file or pencil sharpener to customize your preferred sharpness on the tips. We included 5 needles from US 2 through US 10.75 to give you a full range of sizes.
